A Few Words About Us

I very warmly welcome you to our website. Please feel free to explore the website – it is like a tour of the school itself. The Apostolic Church Model College TACMC) is a bona-fide high school of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN), Sanngo-Ibadan Assembly. The motivation of the founders, The Presbytery of TACN Sanngo Ibadan Assembly, was service to God and Humanity. The project was aimed at serving God by producing high school graduates with focus on things that are excellent and are of good report (Philippians 4:8).

HISTORY

TACMC opened to first set of students in Junior Secondary School 1. There were eighteen pioneer students in all, eleven boys and seven girls. The total number rose to twenty-two students at the close of registration. The Principal was Elder Ezekiel Oluremi Oladeji. He assumed duty on the 17th of March 2007.to prepare the College for formal take-off. The Vice Principal was Elder J.S. Afolayan. He resumed on the 2nd of October. There were two other pioneer teachers – Mr. A. Akinmade and Ms. Abosede Eweje. 

The first Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) meeting was held on the College premises. Mr. I.R. Eyitayo emerged as the first PTA Chairman and Elder E.O. Famurewa as Vice Chairman. The elected Secretary was Elder J.S. Afolayan. The College celebrated her first Christmas Carol event at the Apostolic Church, Sanngo Assembly. Oyo State Government officials made the first inspection visit to the College.

The First Founder’s day service and formal dedication of the new College was conducted by Pastor Sunday Samuel Jemigbon, the 3rd LAWNA Territorial Chairman and Vice President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria. The Foundation Stone of the College’s second building, which will become the main Academic Block of the College, was laid during the occasion. Prominent Church dignitaries in attendance were Pastor O.B. Okoroh, the Ibadan Area Superintendent and the LAWNA Administrative Secretary, Pastor G.A. Oyetunji.
